Tour Puno Sillustani:

Sillustani archaeological site is 34 km away from the city of Puno (35 minutes drive) and a height of 3.840 meters above sea level. This tour allows tourists to enjoy magnificent landscapes and imposing pre-Inca architecture. The site is strategically located on top of a “peninsula” surrounded by a beautiful lagoon called Umayo lagoon.

The archaeological site of Sillustani is a cemetery built in the twelfth century by a civilization that occupied the area before the Inca domain. The creators of the imposing burial towers were belonged to the Kolla culture. The most imposing towers were built for important chiefs and priests. To our ancient civilizations were cemeteries, resting places for the dead and so strategically chose beautiful places to build their cemeteries and these were considered sacred places.

As you walk around the peninsula, we can feel the energy emanating from the site. Many people come to appreciate this unique landscape surrounded by mountains and the beautiful lagoon Umayo, don’t let your hearts go without feeling recharged without peace.

08:30 am or 1:30 p.m. tour starts with picking you up from your hotel.

Trip to Sillustani (50 min-long trip from puno)

Arriving to Sillustani visit the archaeological monuments forms of Circulars Towers (chullpas). A Necropolis built by the Qollas and later continued by the Incas.* Optional: visit to Quechua families living in the area for a cultural interaction.

Then return to the city of Puno to your hotel or transfer to the airport.

Tour Puno Sillustani:

El sitio arqueológico de Sillustani se encuentra a 34 Km de distancia de la ciudad de Puno (35 minutos por carretera) y a una altura de 3,840 metros sobre el nivel del mar. Esta visita les permite a los turistas disfrutar de magníficos paisajes y de la imponente arquitectura pre-inca. El sitio esta estratégicamente ubicado en la cima de una península rodeada de una hermosa laguna llamada laguna Umayo.

El sitio arqueológico de Sillustani es un cementerio que se construyó en el siglo XII por una civilización que ocupo el área antes del dominio Inca. Los creadores de las imponentes torres funerarias se conocen pertenecían a la cultural Kolla. Las torres mas imponentes fueron construidas para los jefes y sacerdotes importantes. Para nuestras civilizaciones antiguas los cementerios eran lugares de descanso para sus muertos y por eso elegían estratégicamente hermosos lugares para construir sus cementerios y estos eran considerados lugares sagrados.

Al caminar alrededor de la península, podemos sentir la energía que emana del sitio. Muchas personas vienen a apreciar este paisaje único rodeado de montañas y la hermosa laguna Umayo, y no se van sin antes sentir como sus corazones se recargan de paz.

Llegadando a Sillustani visitamos los monumentos arqueológicos con formas de Torres Circulares (chullpas). Una Necropoli construida por los Qollas y posteriormente continuado por los Incas. Opcional: visita a familias quechuas que habitan por la zona para una interacción cultural.

Luego, retorno a la ciudad de tour Puno a su respectivo hotel o Traslado al Aeropuerto.
