Está ubicado en el cañón del río Apurímac en la comunidad de Chonta en el distrito de Limatambo a 70 km y 2 horas en bus de la ciudad imperial del Cusco el cañón del cóndor es el santuario natural del cóndor andino, denominado ave sagrado de los incas, este lugar ofrece a los visitantes el vuelo majestuoso del cóndor andino en su hábitat natural y el impresionante cañón del Apurímac con más de 1500 metros de profundidad.
Este día pasaremos a recogerlos a su hotel en nuestra movilidad a las 07:00 a 07:30 am, luego nos dirigiremos a la población de Limatambo por una vía asfaltada, a lo largo de este viaje haremos una paradas en las zonas arqueológicas de KILLARUMIYOC Y TARAWASI. Donde el guía dará una explicación sobre los mencionados sitios arqueológicos, continuaremos el viaje hasta Limatambo donde disfrutaran un delicioso almuerzo preparado por la gente de la zona.
Habiendo ya almorzado continuaremos el viaje ascendiendo hasta la comunidad de Chonta ubicado a 3400 m.s.n.m, esta vez por trocha. Durante este tramo haremos paradas estratégicas para poder tomar fotografías. Aproximadamente a la 13:00 horas llegaremos a Chonta donde iniciaremos una caminata de 1 hora y 30 minutos hasta el mirador del Cañón del Cóndor Ubicado a 3,300 m.s.n.m.
Desde este punto tendremos la oportunidad de apreciar al impresionante Cóndor andino en su habitad natural. Nos ubicaremos en el mirador y esperaremos que los cóndores lleguen después de sus actividades diarias, esta espera no será por mucho tiempo ya que los cóndores normalmente vuelven por la tarde entre las 3:00 pm aproximado a sus nidos. Aquí usted tendrá muy buena oportunidad de ver a los cóndores desde muy de cerca por un promedio de 2 horas a mas volando frente a usted.
Después de este espectáculo retornaremos caminando hasta el pueblo de chonta, donde espera nuestro movilidad que nos retornara de vuelta hasta la ciudad del Cusco, hora de llega 20:00 horas aproximado.
