Travel Peru Trip – Machu Picchu 14days and 13nights

After the first contact with Machu Picchu, which actually was short, Hiram Bingham returned from traveling in 1912 to Peru, directing the scientific expedition made up of many leading scientists in the trip, sponsored by the University of Yale and the National Geographic Society. He returned in 1914 and 1915 to make a trip to explore the Inca Trail to from Corihuairachina until Machu Picchu. Before it was discovery in 1911, Bingham visited Peru in 1909 on another trip. On that occasion he went to Abancay, where he had news of the archaeological site of Choquequirao. Based on his travel expeditions, he published several studies, especially those related to Machu Picchu. In 1930 he got a trip, in which he spread Machu Picchu / a quote of the Incas. Later, he published popular books that were in great demand in the world.

Machu Picchu archeology.AS they located and dug almost all the tombs of Machu Picchu. They found about 107 graves in natural rock shelters or enabled, 52 exhumed under the direction of Eaton in 1912 and the rest under the responsibility of Richarte and Alvarez, supervised by Erdis. In 1968-69 also he dug in the set of «The Condor.» The Spanish-Mexican archaeologist Jose Luis Lorenzo, commissioned by Copesco Plan, and cusqueños archaeologists Alfredo Valencia, Arminda Gibaja and Jose Gonzalez, made in 1974 exploratory excavations very successful in the sets of low houses, the group of the Condor, in the high agricultural area in the dry moat to protect the site, in the western agricultural area in the building three houses in one of the terraces of the main square, in the precincts linked to the quarries and a temple building . Between 1975-1978, archaeologist M. Machu Picchu Peru Trip Tour day 01: Cusco – Airport – City Tour Cusco:

Air flight from Lima to Cusco (55 minutes drive).
Pick up from airport Cusco (Velasco Astete) and then we will move to our tourist bus to our hotel in Cusco where you would accommodate in your private rooms where you will rest before the tour.

CITY TOURS CUSCO: 2 pm. You will visit the attractions like:

Qoricancha Temple travel.
Fortress Sacsayhuam travel.
Kenko travel.
Puca Pucara travel.
Tambomachay travel (Inca’s Bathrooms).

Ending the tour at 6:30 pm to take you to your hotel. Night hotel in Cusco.

Machu Picchu Peru Trip tour day 02: Tour Sacred Valley of the Incas:}

Later after breakfast, We will pick up you at 08:30 am to begin our tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas from the Inca citadel of Pisac and then visit the typical Pisac market; where we will meet the typical Andean customs, we will continue our journey to the town of Urubamba where you will enjoy a delicious lunch buffet. After lunch we will visit the Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo with our professional guide.

Return to Cusco to visit the town of Chinchero, its main square, the temple and his paintings, colonial arts and hand – woven with colors typical of the area (natural plants).
Then return to the city of Cusco, to transfer you to the hotel in Cusco.

MACHU PICCHU PERU TRIP TOUR DAY 03: Cusco Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo):

At proper time you will be picked up from your hotel to travel to the town of Ollantaytambo which takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes to the train station in Ollantaytambo, where we board the train to Machu Picchu that lasts 2 hours of duration by train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu village). Transfer to hotel with hot water. Today will have the afternoon free to meet mores of Aguas Calientes and take pictures of the place and enjoy some medicinal thermal baths (entrance is 10 nuevos soles per person). MACHU PICCHU PERU TRIP TOUR DAY 04: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu Citadel:

Today we get up early 5:20 am for breakfast, then take the bus, the trip takes 30 minutes to climb to the citadel of Machu Picchu and appreciate the majestic sunrise at Machu Picchu. Where our guide will explain for 2 hours and 30 minutes over the Incan city of Machu Picchu. After the tour guide, we will have free time about 4 hours to visit and photograph inside the citadel of Machu Picchu on your own. (Optional: visit the mountain Huayna Picchu or the Inca Bridge) At the time indicated we will descend by bus to Aguas Calientes to approach the train station to board the train and start our journey back to Ollantaytambo, then we will return to Cusco and move to the hotel.

After our usual breakfast we continue our journey of one hour on our boat enjoying the flora. Arriving to Taquile we do a little walk until we meet the weavers and interact with them for 2 hours. Enjoying our visit to Taquile visiting different weavers families with their characteristical kindness explain us about their experiences and their famous textiles. We will enjoy a typical rich lunch. Bid farewell to the villagers and undertake the return on our boat arriving at puno about 4pm. Transfer to the bus terminal

TRIP TOUR PERU MACHU PICCHU DAY 09: Arequipa White City – and Chivay Colca Canyon 2D / 1N:

We leave at 7:30 am from the city of Arequipa, crossing 160 Km, to the little town of Chivay, capital of the province of Caylloma. Initially we will enjoy the majestic views of the Misti, Chachani and Pichupichu volcanoes and then reach the National Reserve of «Pampa Cañahuas» where mobility will stop to observe the Vicuñas (the most important camelid of America) in their natural habitat. At this point we are on an altitude of 3.400 meters above sea level. Arrive to «Pata Wasi» (Pata = high Wasi = home) an Andean community located on the opposite side of the reserve. Here it is interesting to observe the rock formations and a the view of the backside of the Misti and Chachani volcanoes. To prevent altitude sickness enjoy an original «Mate de Coca» or a coffee in a small place that offers food and drinks on the road (restrooms available).We continue the way through the area «Tocra» over the 4,500 meters, where we will observe lakes with migrant birds and have a view of the Altiplano with “llamas” and “guanacos”. Our highest point is «Pata Pampa» (Pata = high, Pampa = land) located at 4,820 meters, where the Ampato, Sabancaya, Hualca Hualca, Misti ( the source of the Amazon River) and the Cordillera del Chila volcanoes are observed. When we are approaching the village of Chivay (3,651 meters) we will begin to enjoy the view of the colorful terraces of the valley. Already in Chivay (we will have a short visit to the square) we head to the traditional village of Coporaque and visited the Lodge «Mama Yachi’s house» where we can enjoy our lunch (not included in the program). After lunch the guide will offer a walk (optional) by Coporaque and its square and then continue to the hill of the ruins of San Antonio, where we visit an old cemetery and enjoy an excellent view of the terraces of the barrel (60 minutes walk approx.). Early breakfast to leave heading towards the «Viewpoint of the Condor’s Cross». Arrival at a proper time to the lookout, where they will have enough time to appreciate the depth of the canyon, and if the weather is favorable, have amazing photos of the spectacular flight of the condor. After a coordinated time, our guide will take a short hike (1 hour approx.) On the outside of the canyon. En ese tiempo, se iniciaron trabajos de restauración de algunos edificios, como los que condujo Leónidas Salas en el “Intiwatana” o “Ushnu”, en 1939. A raíz de una “denuncia” hecha a comienzos de 1940 por campesinos de la región, el Patronato de Arqueología del Cusco decidió intervenir las ruinas de Phuyupatamarca y Saqsamarca, sobre el camino inca, encargando su exploración al Sr. Roberto Rozas14. Ellas ya habían sido visitadas por Bingham. Ese mismo año de 1940 el explorador Paul Fejos, que había venido al Perú para explorar la amazonia hizo un extensivo trabajo de limpieza en los sitios que están a lo largo del camino inca15. John H. Rowe, en 1941, le dio apoyo en las excavaciones en Sayaqmarca y Choquesuysuy. En 1942 le correspondió dar ese apoyo al Dr. Julio C. Tello, quien se encargó de estudiar Wiñay Wayna. Entre 1943 y 1949, bajo la supervisión de Luis A. Pardo, también se hizo restauraciones para “poner en valor” el sector alto de Machu Picchu. Luego, en 1956, el Ing. Manuel Briceño y L. Salas intervinieron andenerías y edificios de la parte baja y el Ing. Eulogio Cabada hizo otras intervenciones en el “Ushnu” entre 1956 y 1957. El mismo, en 1959, restauró el acceso principal a la ciudadela. En todo este tiempo no hubo propiamente trabajos de investigación en Machu Picchu, pues se partía del supuesto que ya todo era conocido en Machu Picchu, dado que Bingham lo habría revuelto todo o ya no había mucho más por encontrar. Las investigaciones posteriores confirmaron lo contrario. En la década de 1960, el Dr. Manuel Chávez Bailón, con ayuda de sus alumnos de la Universidad San Antonio Abad del Cusco, por encargo del Patronato Departamental, tuvo una serie de intervenciones en el sitio, con fines de restauración. En el segundo semestre de 1967, el arqueólogo cusqueño Alfredo Valencia, se encargó de conducir la excavación del recinto sur del grupo de la “Roca Sagrada”. En 1968-69 también excavó en el conjunto de “El Cóndor”. El arqueólogo hispano-mexicano José Luis Lorenzo, por encargo del Plan Copesco, y los arqueólogos cusqueños Alfredo Valencia, Arminda Gibaja yjosé González, hicieron en 1974 excavaciones exploratorias muy exitosas, en los conjuntos de las casas bajas, del grupo del Condor, en la zona agrícola alta, en el foso seco de protección del sitio, en la zona agrícola occidental, en el edificio de las tres casas, en una de las terrazas de la plaza mayor, en los recintos ligados a las canteras y en un edificio del templo. Entre 1975-78, el arqueólogo Marino Sánchez M. excavó también en uno de los recintos del Templo, donde halló un contexto funerario, así como en una de las zonas de servicio del complejo del mausoleo real, donde identificó una cocina. En 1978, sólo para obtener muestras para C14 para fines cronológicos, Wilfredo Yépez excavó en las cólicas orientales (detrás del edificio de las tres casas). Luego, entre 1979 y 1983 se hizo la restauración de otros edificios, bajo la conducción de Luis Watanabe. Entre 1980 y 1981, el arqueólogo cusqueño Julinho Zapata hizo excavaciones intensivas en los diversos edificios de la zona de ingreso al santuario, con resultados muy gratificantes sobre la función de los recintos y otros espacios. Unos años después, entre 1987 y 1989, Fidel Ramos Condori, volvió a excavar las cólicas orientales y también hizo valiosos hallazgos en la zona del Torreón. En la década del 90, el Instituto Nacional de Cultura del Cusco procedió a hacer una serie de intervenciones de consolidación y restauración de edificios. Actualmente, Fernando Astete conduce los programas de esta institución en el sitio.

VIAJE DE PERU TRIP MACHUPICCHU DÍA 01: Cusco – Aeropuerto – City Tour Cusco:

Vuelo aéreo de LIMA a CUSCO (55 minutos de viaje).

Recojo de aeropuerto de la cuidad de Cusco (Velasco Astete) y luego nos trasladaremos en nuestro bus turístico hacia nuestro hotel de la ciudad de Cusco donde se acomodara en sus respectivas habitaciones privadas donde descansara antes del inicio del tour.

CITY TOURS CUSCO: 2 pm. Donde Ud. Visitara las atracciones como son.

VIAJE DE PERU TRIP MACHUPICCHU DÍA 02: Tour Valle Sagrado De los Incas:

Posteriormente después de su desayuno, recogo 08:30 am para empezar nuestro tour por el valle sagrado de los inkas desde la ciudadela Inca de Pisac y luego visitaremos el mercado tipico de Pisac; donde conocera las costumbres típicas y andinas, continuaremoa nuestro viaje hacia el pueblo de Urubamba donde Ud. Disfrutara de un rico almuerzo buffet. Despues de su almuerzo visitaremos la Fortaleza inca de Ollantaytambo con nuestro guía profesional.

De retorno a la ciudad de Cusco visitaremos el pueblo de Chinchero, su plaza principal. el templo y sus pinturas rupestres, artes coloniales y tejidos a mano con colores típicos de la zona (plantas naturales).
Retorno a la ciudad de Cusco, luego traslado a su hotel en Cusco.

VIAJE DE PERU TRIP MACHU PICCHU DÍA 03: Cusco Ollantaytambo –Aguas calientes (Machupicchu Pueblo):

A la hora indicada se le recogerá de su Hotel para viajar al pueblo de Ollantaytambo que dura aproximadamente 1 hora y 20 minutos hasta la estación de trenes de Ollantaytambo, lugar donde abordaremos el tren hacia la ciudadela de Machu Picchu que dura 2 horas de viaje en tren a Aguas Calientes (Machupicchu pueblo). Traslado al hotel de aguas calientes. Hoy día tendrán la tarde libre para conocer costumbres de su poblado de aguas calientes (Machupicchu pueblo) y tomar fotografías de la zona y disfrutar de unos baños termales medicinales (la entrada es de 10 nuevos soles por persona). Noche de hotel en aguas calientes (Machupicchu pueblo).

VIAJE DE PERU TRIP MACHUPICCHU DÍA 04: Aguas Calientes – Ciudadela Machupicchu:

Hoy nos levantaremos muy temprano 5:20 a.m. para tomar el desayuno, luego abordaremos el bus, el viaje dura de 30 minutos de subida hacia la ciudadela de machu picchu y poder apreciar la majestuosa salida de Sol en Machupicchu. Donde nuestro guía les explicara durante 2 horas y 30 minutos sobre la ciudad inca de Machu Picchu. Finalizado el tour de guiado Uds. Tendrán tiempo libre de 4 horas para visitar y fotografiar dentro de la ciudadela de Machu Picchu por su cuenta propia. (Opcional: visita la montaña de Huaynapicchu o puente inca) A la hora indicada bajaremos en bus a Aguas Calientes para aproximarnos a la estación ferroviaria para abordar nuestro tren e iniciar nuestro viaje de retorno a Ollantaytambo, enseguida un bus de turismo para retornar a la ciudad de Cusco y trasladarnos hacia el hotel.

VIAJE DE PERU TRIP MACHUPICCHU DÍA 06: Tour Valle Sur – Cusco Puno (Bus Turistico) :

Hoy después de su desayuno recojo de su hotel luego a la estación de bus para empezar el viaje de 9 en el trayecto de viaje se visitara Andahuaylillas o Capilla Sixtina de América, el templo Inca de Raqchi, a bordo tendrá un almuerzo Buffet, luego en su viaje se visitara la Raya a 4335 msnm y el museo inca aymara de Pukara. Cada visita tiene una duración de 40 a 50 minutos, donde usted tendrá la oportunidad de tomar fotografías y caminatas con nuestro guías bilingüe; por la tarde usted llegara a la ciudad de puno, donde nuestro transfer estará esperando para llevar a su hotel en la ciudad de puno. VIAJE DE PERU TRIP MACHUPICCHU DÍA 07: Puno las Islas Flotante Uros Amantani, Taquile 2D/1N:

Hoy después de tomar el desayuno estaremos recogiendo de su hotel 7:45am, al puerto de lago Titicaca para iniciar el tour de las islas flotantes, Uros, Amantani, Taquile con nuestro guía bilingüe donde les explicara sobre las visitas que se realizara durante nuestra excursión de viajes; por la tarde llegada a Amantani donde se pasara la noche con la familia Local.

Las islas flotantes de UROS están ubicado dentro de la bahía del lago Titicaca a solo 14 km de distancia de la ciudad (20 a 30 minutos de navegación). Se cree que los UROS fueron uno de los más antiguos grupos étnicos que poblaron la región del altiplano andino. Su sobrevivencia dependía de sus habilidades como pescadores y cazadores de aves. De gran importancia social, étnica, paisajística, ambiental y con un gran potencial artesanal. Se encuentra a 3 horas desde las islas flotantes. En la parte alta se encuentran dos picos elevados “Pacha Tata” y “Pacha Mama” en los que se pueden .Observar restos arqueológicos, centros de adoración y culto. Su naturaleza es pródiga en bellos paisajes que contrastan con la inmensidad del Lago Titicaca.

EXCURSIÓN A LA ISLA DE AMANTANI (PERNOCTE)

VIAJE DE PERU TRIP MACHU PICCHU DÍA 08: Isla Flotantes – Amantani – Familia Nativa y Taquile.

Después de nuestro desayuno típico continuaremos nuestro viaje de 1 horas en nuestra embarcación disfrutando sobre la flora Al llegar a Taquile hacemos una pequeña caminata hasta el lugar donde se encentran los tejedores e interactuamos con ellos durante 2 horas disfrutamos de nuestra visita al Taquile visitando diferentes familias de tejedores quienes con su amabilidad característica nos explicaran a cerca de sus vivencias y sus famosos textiles. Disfrutamos de un rico almuerzo típico. Nos despedimos de los pobladores y emprendemos el retorno en nuestra embarcación arribando a puno aproximadamente. A las 4 pm. Traslado al terminal terrestre de Puno. Un Viaje a la ciudad de Arequipa por la noche con duración de 7 horas de viaje.

VIAJE DE PERU TRIP MACHU PICCHU DÍA 09: Arequipa Ciudad Blanca – Cañón de Colca y Chivay 2D/1N:

Partiremos a los 7:30 de la mañana de la ciudad de Arequipa, recorriendo 160 Km. hacia el pueblo de Chivay, capital de la provincia de Caylloma. En un inicio vamos a disfrutar las vistas majestuosas de los volcanes Misti, Chachani y Pichupichu para luego llegar a la Reserva nacional de “Pampa Cañahuas”, donde la movilidad tendrá una parada para observar las Vicuñas (el camélido másimportante de América) en su hábitat natural.

En este punto estaremos sobre una altitud de 3,400 metros sobre el nivel del mar. Llegaremos a “Pata Wasi” (Pata = alto Wasi = hogar) una comunidad andina ubicada en el lado opuesto de la reserva. Aquí es interesante de observar las formaciones de piedra y una vista de los lados posteriores de los volcanes Misti y Chachani. Para prevenir el mal de altura disfrutaremos de un original “Mate de Coca” o un café en un pequeño local que ofrece alimentación y bebidas en la carretera (servicio de baños disponibles). Continuaremos el camino pasando por la zona de “Tocra”, sobre los 4,500 mts, donde observaremos algunas lagunas con aves migratorias y tendremos una vista del altiplano con llamas y guanacos. Nuestro punto más alto es “Pata pampa” ( Pata = alto, Pampa = tierra) ubicado a 4,820 mts, donde se observan los volcanes Ampato, Sabancaya, Hualca Hualca, Mismi (fuente donde nace el río Amazonas) y la cordillera del Chila. Cuando estemos acercándonos al pueblo de Chivay (3,651 mts) comenzaremos a disfrutar de la vista de las multicolores terrazas del valle. Ya en Chivay (tendremos una corta visita a la plaza) nos dirigiremos al pueblo tradicional de Coporaque y visitamos el Lodge “La casa de Mamayacchi”donde podremos disfrutar de nuestro almuerzo (no incluido en el programa). Después de almuerzo el guía les ofrecerá una caminata (opcional) por Coporaque y su plaza para luego continuar hacia el cerro de las ruinas de San Antonio, donde visitaremos un antiguo cementerio y gozar de una excelente vista de las terrazas del cañón (60 minutos de caminata aprox.) Retornamos a nuestra movilidad y nos dirigimos a “la Calera”, baños termales naturales rodeados de una cadena de montañas. (Entradas y toallas no incluidas). Terminada la visita y ya finalizando este excitante día, el transporte nos llevara a nuestros respectivos alojamientos

VIAJE DE PERU TRIP MACHU PICCHU DÍA 10: Chivay Cañon de Colca – Retorno a la Ciudad de Arequipa:

Desayuno temprano para poder salir con dirección hacia el “Mirador de la Cruz del Cóndor”. Llegada a hora oportuna al mirador, donde tendrán suficiente tiempo para apreciar la profundidad del cañón, y si el clima es favorable, tener fotos increíbles de los vuelos espectaculares del cóndor. Después de un tiempo coordinado, nuestro guía los conducirá a una corta caminata (1 hora aprox.) por la margen del cañón. Retornaremos a nuestra movilidad y comenzaremos el retorno a Chivay, visitando en la ruta el pueblo tradicional de Pinchollo y el mirador de “Antahuilque”, donde se observará unas maravillosas terrazas de 1,500 años de antigüedad, construidas por la cultura “Collaguas”, anterior a la cultura Inca. Así mismo tendremos otra parada en el mirador de Choquetico donde se apreciará las tumbas colgantes y una Lito maqueta, con un dibujo grabado de las terrazas que se observan al frente. Breve visita al pueblo de Maca, el cual experimentó la fuerza de un terremoto en el año 1991 y la iglesia del pueblo de Yanque , considerada la más bella del Valle. Regreso a pueblo de Chivay y almuerzo en restaurante local, (Almuerzo no incluido en programa). Retorno a la ciudad de Arequipa. Llegada aproximada a las 16.00 Hrs.

VIAJE DE PERU TRIP MACHU PICCHU DÍA 11: Arequipa City Tour – Lineas de Nazca

Hoy se levantara muy temprano luego pasaremos por su hotel para realizar el tour en la ciudad de Arequipa «Ciudad Blanca» visita el Convento de Santa Catalina, la Plaza de Armas, los claustros de la Compañía de Jesús y los barrios de Cayma y Yanahuara, con una vista magnífica del volcán Misti, y visitar una tradicional casona colonial llamada la Mansión del Fundador. En la tarde usted tendrá el tiempo libre para recorrer la Ciudad de Arequipa por su cuenta propia, por la noche recojo del hotel y traslado al terminal terrestre para continuar el viaje de 9 horas a la ciudad de Nazca servicio bus cama .

VIAJE PERU TRIP MACHU PICCHU DÍA 12: Sobrevuelo de Nazca – Viaje a la Ciudad de Ica:

Recojo del terminal terrestre luego nos trasladaremos al aeropuerto de Nazca.
Realizaremos el sobre vuelo de 45 minutos sobre las líneas de Nazca, en donde los antiguos pre incas dibujaron gigantescas figuras de animales y plantas con un fin aún no descubierto, muchos creen que estas figuras fueron hechas por extraterrestres. Entre los que se encuentran el mono, la araña, el colibrí, etc. Por la tarde abordaremos el bus con destino a la Ciudad de ICA (02 horas de viaje). Noche de hotel en ICA.

VIAJE DE PERU TRIP MACHUPICCHU DÍA 13: VIAJE A ICA – VIAJES A Paracas- VIAJES A Islas Ballestas y Hucachina:

(7:00 AM – 12:00 PM) Después de tomar desayuno traslado al puerto de Paracas, para empezar el tour de las Islas Ballestas pasando por «El Candelabro». Una gigantesca imagen en la ladera de un cerro. Luego llegaremos a la Islas Ballestas, donde visitaremos diferentes islas durante dos horas, observando la fauna y las diferentes especies de lobos marinos, focas, pingüinos y aves guaneras.

Por la tarde después del almuerzo tendremos la oportunidad de visitar oasis de la Huacachina, , es un paraje natural situado aproximadamente a unos 5 kilómetros del oeste de la ciudad de Ica. La laguna, de unas dimensiones no muy excesivas, se encuentra en medio de un vasto desierto de arenas finas, y junto a él, en sus alrededores, se observa el crecimiento de buena vegetación, como por ejemplo eucaliptos, palmeras y hurangos, muy típicos estos últimos de la región. Este Oasis, permanece conectado a la ciudad de Ica por un camino asfaltado durante la época de explotación turística del mismo
