Throughout the day, travelers enjoy a guided circuit with strategic stops at important tourist attractions, ending in the imperial city of Cusco, gateway to Machu Picchu.
1st Stop: Pukara Lithic Museum (08:00 a.m. – 3,900 m.a.s.l.)
Departing from the city of Puno, we begin the journey crossing the beautiful landscapes of the Andean highlands until reaching the Pukara Museum, considered the first major organized population center north of Lake Titicaca during the Late Formative Period (500 B.C. – 200 A.D.).
This important archaeological site offers valuable insight into the origins of Andean civilization. During its peak, Pukara was a political, religious, and administrative center inhabited by priests, artisans, farmers, and warriors.
The Pukara culture is known for its impressive monolithic sculptures, polychrome ceramics, and geometric, zoomorphic, and anthropomorphic representations that reflect its complex Andean worldview.
2nd Stop: Abra La Raya (11:00 a.m. – 4,335 m.a.s.l.)
Continuing the journey, we arrive at La Raya, the highest point of the route and the natural division between the Lake Titicaca basin and the Cusco Valley.
From this impressive natural viewpoint, travelers can admire the origin of the Vilcanota River (Urubamba), which gives life to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Here, the landscape changes dramatically, transitioning from the highland plains to snow-capped mountains and deep valleys.
It is an ideal place for panoramic photography and to enjoy the fresh air of the Andes.
3rd Stop: Sicuani – Buffet Lunch (12:30 p.m. – 3,552 m.a.s.l.)
We arrive in the city of Sicuani, an important connection point in the Cusco region. Surrounded by mountain scenery and snow-capped peaks, this Andean city welcomes us with a delicious traditional buffet lunch.
Here, travelers can enjoy a variety of Peruvian dishes prepared with local ingredients, perfect for recharging energy before continuing the journey.
4th Stop: Raqchi – Temple of Wiracocha (2:00 p.m. – 3,450 m.a.s.l.)
The journey continues to Raqchi, an impressive Inca archaeological complex dedicated to the god Wiracocha, considered the creator of the universe in the Andean worldview.
The Temple of Wiracocha is a unique large-scale structure built with adobe and stone, remarkable for its monumental design. Inside the complex are colcas (storage buildings), sacred enclosures, and an ancient artificial lagoon constructed by the Incas.
This archaeological site is an exceptional example of the engineering and planning of the Inca Empire.

Built in the 16th century by the Jesuits over an ancient Inca sacred site, this church is considered one of the jewels of Andean Baroque art. Its interior is entirely decorated with mural paintings, gold leaf, and artistic details that have earned it the title of the “Sistine Chapel of America.”
