We will navigate its calm waters surrounded by lush vegetation and observe wildlife in its natural habitat, such as caimans, giant river otters, monkeys, and tropical birds.
In addition, we will learn more about the Amazon ecosystem while enjoying a delicious traditional lunch from the region, living an authentic connection with nature in the Tambopata National Reserve.
Day 1: Puerto Maldonado – Sandoval Lake
Pickup in Puerto Maldonado and transfer to Puerto Triunfo to begin the Amazon adventure. Boat navigation along the Madre de Dios River followed by a jungle walk inside Tambopata National Reserve.
Then, canoe ride on Sandoval Lake with wildlife observation including giant river otters, caimans, monkeys, and tropical birds. Traditional lunch, free time to enjoy the natural surroundings, and return to Puerto Maldonado.
